Darum sind das die coolsten Großeltern Hessens: I am nominating my cousin Wilhelm and his wife Christa for the best Oma and Opa in Hesse. They have 3 grandchildren living in the same home with their son and his wife. Many mornings the children come downstairs for breakfast. Last year, Wilhelm would take the 2 boys to school and pick them up in the afternoon. The little one (2 1/2 yrs old) would have buggy rides so she would fall asleep for her afternoon naps. Then Christa would fix lunch for the boys after school. Many evenings the whole family would have dinner together. During construction of the new Kefenrod Family Holistic Center, which began last Fall, the children spent much of their time with Oma and Opa. Christa would also prepare lunch for the construction workers. The job is finished, opening last week.
